The Internship

As my internship comes to a close, I will take a lot away from this internship. It has been a great experience and has given me more of an insight into how the state runs programs. I also have learned how much cooperation it takes to have successful programs. I have also learned that there are many people who are very passionate about their work. They are there to serve the public and want to make this are a better place. Some of the values and commitment that some of these employees exhibited is something that I want to incorporate into my own career.

How was your experience? Was it very partisan in nature? Was the office staff always talking about the "Obamassiah"? I am so glad that the city manager jobs do not allow for political bullying. Thank goodness for being a competent and neutral professional.

By the way, are you graduating in May???

Hi David,

I am glad you had such a valuable internship experience. I am a student at Boston University and I recently started a website called InternshipRatings.com. I would like to encourage you to rate your internship so students can learn about your experience. Your rating can even be anonymous! :)

Good luck with your career!
Lauren
